A couple of things answer most of what arrives, so they’re worth a quick look first.
- The keyboard shortcuts. ⌥ space brings the timer forward from any app, the number pad sets a duration, space starts and pauses, and esc resets.
- The timer won’t appear when I press the shortcut. macOS asks for permission before an app can listen for a global shortcut. Check System Settings → Privacy & Security and make sure Eggl is allowed.
- Privacy questions. Eggl collects nothing at all — the privacy policy spells out exactly what that means.
